Train personnel in water supply, and sanitation and hygiene by offering appropriate courses targeting the needs of participants.
Conduct research and consultancy in a wide range of areas including water quality and pollution monitoring, and Integrated Water Resources Management.
Develop and adopt technologies appropriate to the local environment through research and capacity building in local communities. These will include sanitation systems as well as water retrieval systems and the procurement of spare parts.
House a resource centre for use by interested parties covering all areas of water, sanitation and environmental health.
