Public Statement- Watch out for fraudsters

The Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) wishes to inform parents and guardians that it has come to its attention that there are some individuals who are calling students claiming to be staff members from MUBAS and advising them to deposit accommodation money using mobile money services. (Mpamba and Airtel Money)

MUBAS’ monetary transactions are done through the official bank account number which will be communicated to the students.

In addition, all communications are made using the authentic university email addresses, website, print media, and all official MUBAS social media pages.

 MUBAS is therefore informing the general public that it is doing everything in its power to get these scammers face the law.
